In VIP, celebrated chefs will create special tastings throughout the weekend. On Friday night, pastry Chef Sandia Hoormann will present an evening of savory and sweets from the late-night Italian pastry shop Piccione Pastry. Saturday afternoon, Chefs Stephen and Josh of Curtain Call Lounge will present a modernist play on a summer weekend picnic. On Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, Chef Michael and Tara Gallina will feature a hint of what you can expect at their new restaurant, Vicia, soon to open in the Cortex district. They will highlight the end of summer’s bounty throughout interactive cooking stations. And Sunday night, Chef de Cuisine, Chuck Friedhoff of Bixby’s will close out the Festival with a two-hour tasting that focuses on local flavors.
